Plate Mail Games creates high quality professional background loops and adventuring hook PDFs for your role-playing games. The goal is to enhance your tabletop role-playing experience with ambient soundscapes and great plot hooks. Plate Mail Games is also developing a streamlined role-playing game that combines both fast-paced cinematic action with strong story telling arcs. Adding depth to your game is Plate Mail Games’ goal. At this time the company is developing a board game, campaign settings, background loops, and a role-playing system.
Wes Otis:
Wes Otis has been playing role-playing games for over 30 years, starting with 1st Ed AD&D. His love of gaming grew and he started playing Call of Cthulhu, GURPS and anything else he could get his hands on. Right now, Wes is playing Dungeon World, Star Wars, The Quiet Year, and his first love, 1st Ed AD&D. He is also a sound designer with 14 years of experience. He has worked on television and film, including Sponge Bob Square Pants, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go!, and The Emperor’s New School. He also has written several PDF adventure books for GMs and is developing his own streamlined RPG system.
Wes had the idea for background loops after hearing what was available. He decided to try Kickstarter to fund his project of creating 11 core MP3s. It was a huge success thanks to all the great backers. With their help, he is now setting out to build Plate Mail Games into a top-notch gaming company. Below is Wes’ professional sound design reel.
Michelle Otis (Composer)
Michelle is a Trekkie Whovian and music composing sorceress who writes much of the music you hear in Plate Mail Games tracks. She has been a choir teacher and student of the arts for many years; she is also an Arkham Horror board game junkie as well as a great singer. Her dad played D&D and introduced her to role-playing early, which is why she is such high level.
Eric Reardon:
Forged in the fires of the Red Box, he has traveled far and seen much. Zendraedi attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. Beholder eyes glittering in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. Mutant Turtles, Scheming Vampires, Rat Assassins, Noble Jedi, and Caped Heroes soaring faster than speeding bullets. Through Plate Mail Games, he looks forward to sharing glimpses of his travels. He hopes his scratching will impart some of the wonders he’s seen and inspire others in their own adventures.
